We believe that hosting an intimate group is the best way to allow genuine connection and full participation for each member. Each cohort will ideally have 12-15 Rising Gen members. However, the final size depends on the pool of applicants and the diversity we aim to achieve within each group.

While we understand personal preferences, a key component of Wingspan Forum is building community. Staying together during the summits enhances this experience, fostering deeper connections and meaningful conversations.

The in-person summits are central to the Wingspan Forum experience. If you’re unable to attend both, we recommend applying for a different cohort that better aligns with your availability to ensure you gain the full benefit of the program.

Mentors are handpicked from a global network of experienced professionals in our network. We carefully match Rising Gens with mentors based on their background, interests, and the specific guidance they seek, ensuring the relationship is valuable and personalized.

Mentors commit to speaking with their mentee at least four times per year. However, it is up to the Rising Gen to take the initiative and schedule these meetings, as mentors are busy professionals. Additional meetings are certainly possible depending on availability and the mentee’s engagement.

While private banks offer programs for Rising Gens, these often focus on keeping assets under their management and typically provide limited learning days that emphasize wealth preservation and governance. Wingspan Forum goes beyond that by forming lifelong cohorts focused on holistic growth, building trusted community, and addressing the personal and relational aspects of family enterprise leadership.

There’s no single “right” age, but most Wingspan Forum members are in their late 20s to mid-30s, with the average age being 31. What they have in common is a desire to learn, connect, and better understand the responsibilities that come with family ownership.

Wingspan Forum is designed for all types of family enterprises—not just operating businesses. Whether your family has a family office, a portfolio of investments, shared assets, or a business, the core topics we cover—governance, succession, communication, ownership, impact, and stewardship—are essential to sustaining family legacy. The program is valuable whether you’re an active participant in your family’s enterprise or a beneficiary learning how to engage thoughtfully and responsibly.

The initial year of Wingspan Forum spans 12 months and includes two 3-day in-person summits, four 1-hour virtual sessions, meetings with your mentor, and ongoing engagement with peers. The time commitment is designed to be manageable, allowing members to balance the program with their personal and professional responsibilities.

Yes, Wingspan Forum welcomes Rising Gens at various stages of involvement in their family enterprise. Whether you’re actively working in a family enterprise, thinking about a future role, or just want to be a responsible future owner, the program equips you with the knowledge and tools to be an effective steward of your family’s legacy.

After completing the initial 12 months, participants can join the Wingspan Forum Alumni Network, which offers continued learning opportunities, exclusive events, and continued connections with fellow alumni.

The Application Process starts with filling out the Inquiry Form on the website, followed by a phone or Zoom interview to ensure the program is the right fit for both the applicant and the cohort.

Participants will have access to leading family enterprise academics, seasoned family business advisors, and top industry leaders. These experts bring a wealth of knowledge, providing both educational content and real-world experience.

Wingspan Forum stands apart by combining high-quality education with a strong sense of community, access to mentors, and a tremendous network of peers and leaders across the family enterprise space. Unlike other programs that focus solely on content delivery, we’ve intentionally designed our platform to foster connection and trust among members. From curated cohorts to in-person summits and ongoing mentorship, every element is built to encourage meaningful relationships and a sense of belonging that lasts well beyond the 12-month program.

The first year of Forum membership is $25,000. This includes all programming and all-inclusive lodging and amenities at the in-person summits (does not include travel to and from summits). Upon completing the first year, members are invited to continue their journey through the Forum Alumni Network at $7,500 per year.
